You’ve chosen Frankincense for your first base note.  Frankincense is highly touted in classical perfume as a great fixative and will help provide your fragrance with a lot of lasting power.  The scent is resinous, smooth, musky, with some warm earth tones.  Frankincense blends exceptionally well with pretty much everything.  Try it out with a citrus, floral, wood, and you won’t be dissapointed.
